A 17 year old behind the biggest ever Twitter fraud

A 17 year old behind Twitter fraud. A new wave of cyber criminal.

This morning, the FBI, IRS, US secret services and Florida law enforcement officers arrested a 17-year-old from Tampa, accusing him of being the "mastermind" behind the biggest hacker attack in Twitter history, reports The Verge
Recall that on July 15, hackers violated the Twitter accounts of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Barack Obama and many other verified Twitter pages, including Coinbase exchanges, KuCoin, etc. A few hours after the attack, the unknowns published about 5,000 tweets in which they promised the free distribution (Giveaway) of Bitcoin from an unknown website called Cryptoforhealth.
But apparently, the 17-year-old was not alone: shortly after the arrest of the boy from Tampa, two other people were formally accused by the United States Department of Justice, including 22-year-old Nima Fazeli of Orlando and 19-year-old Mason Sheppard of the Kingdom Kingdom.
According to federal agents, Sheppard had used her driver's license for KYC verification on the Binance and Coinbase cryptocurrency exchanges. Subsequently, the scammed Bitcoins were found on the boy's accounts.
According to an IRS agent, hackers defrauded 415 Twitter users for an amount of 12.86 Bitcoins, or about $ 117,457.58.
Currently, the 17-year-old teenager from Florida, the name of which has not been revealed, is accused of over 30 crimes, including organized fraud, misleading advertising, identity theft and computer piracy.
"This is not a normal seventeen year old. He is a criminal who could have stolen a huge amount of money and could have destabilized the financial markets in America and around the world; because he had access to the Twitter accounts of powerful politicians, he could have undermined international politics and diplomacy “said Tampa prosecutor Andrew Warren.
Furthermore, according to the declarations of the Tampa prosecutor, the teenager will be tried in Florida, therefore with the same consequences and measures imposed on an adult.
